Writing with AI

Writing stories should be fun, but it can be hard to translate your ideas into complete stories.

To help, we’ve added a complete set of AI writing tools to your Story Scribbler editor:

• Rephrase selected text.
• Continue the story from any point by generating new paragraphs.
• Rewrite the complete story and make major edits.

Getting started

To use the rephrase tool, select any amount of text in a paragraph and click the ✨ button in the inline menu. This will rephrase the selected text, which can be useful try quickly try out different versions of the same sentence(s).

Next, to use the continue tool, click the + add button and select “Continue with AI” from the menu. This will create a brand new paragraph, continuing the story from wherever you inserted the block - use this to extend scenes or add greater detail to chapters.

Finally, to use the rewrite tool, click the “Rewrite” button in the top menu bar. This powerful tool first prompts you to describe your desired edit, then rewrites the complete story text - you could use this to perform small edits, like renaming a character, or more complex changes, such as rephrasing an entire story to use accessible language, adding new scenes, or altering the theme entirely.

These tools are powerful, but like any creative AI are designed to aid instead of replace - please give us feedback on your experiences and help us improve how these tools behave!
